Jan Burkins

Author's Website

Jan Burkins, coauthor of Preventing Misguided Reading (IRA 2010), and Who's Doing the Work? (Stenhouse 2016) is a former teacher. Jan is passionate about helping educators navigate, understand, and teach instructional standards without sacrificing their inner teacher. In her role as a staff developer, she works closely with schools and districts—facilitating staff development, conducting in-class demonstrations, and developing curriculum.
