The Stenhouse Blog debuts with an online gallery devoted to classroom makeovers
Everyone loves to see those interior design experts on TV transform dull or messy living spaces into beautiful showcases. Now you can perform similar miracles in your own classroom, with advice from Debbie Diller, author of the new book Spaces & Places.

The Stenhouse Blog features articles by our authors along with audio, video, and print interviews on a variety of subjects. The articles, drawn from our website and Newslinks, as well as other publications, are categorized by subject for easy browsing. Readers can submit comments or questions on any of the posts. Going forward, we will be using the blog to host a series of online events -- like this classroom makeover session with Debbie Diller. |
Stenhouse has set up an online Flickr gallery where you can upload photos of your classroom, as well as post questions and comments on others' photos. Debbie will select three photos of whole group areas that have been submitted to the gallery and will provide her own advice on how the area could be redesigned to provide a more comfortable or productive space for children. The first ten participants will receive one copy of any Debbie Diller book published by Stenhouse.
"It's important that your whole-group area is welcoming and pleasant for children especially at the start of the school year," says Debbie. "A well-designed space can make a big difference."
