Author websites and blogs

January 2008

Check out these sites from Stenhouse authors to find resources on everything from book choice to grammar:

A Year of Reading
Mary Lee Hahn and Franki Sibberson have brought their casual conversations about books and reading into a blog. Read their picks for best children's books, along with tales from the classroom

The Goddess of YA Literature
The goddess herself, Teri Lesesne, brings you her choices for the best in young adult literature, along with reports from conferences.

Debbie Diller
Debbie's site includes updates on her latest publications, workshop options, and lots of pictures.

The Write Guy
Jeff Anderson's website includes workshop offerings and resources for teachers and students.

Notable Sentences
This blog is a resource for teachers who wish to view grammar as something to be explored and not just corrected. The idea for the site grew from a conversation with Jeff Anderson and it allows teachers to submit their own sentences to use in the classroom as great examples.

"The Sisters"
The authors of The Daily 5--real-life sisters Gail Boushey and Joan Moser--share their "Aha moments," fun craft projects, and many more resources for teachers.

Comprehensive Literacy Model
Linda Dorn's website on the Arkansas Comprehensive Literacy Model includes teacher resources, discussion groups, and research information.

Janet Allen
Janet's website offers workshop schedules and a list of handouts.

Ralph Fletcher
Ralph's website lists all of his professional and children's books, along with tips for young writers and teacher handouts.

Bringing the Outside In
This is a companion website to Sara Kajder's book, offering useful chapter resources.
