Our first podcast is with Washington educators Gail Boushey and Joan Moser, who discuss "The Daily Five", a practice they created ten years ago and have shared with thousands of teachers throughout the U.S. Dissatisfied with assigning "busy work" to occupy students while meeting with small groups, Gail and Joan developed a series of activities that improve students reading and writing, and foster literacy independence. The results of their work are published in their new book, The Daily 5.
