Diane Parker

Diane Parker has been an elementary school teacher in Connecticut and Hawai'i and is presently a faculty member of the University of Hawai'i College of Education, working with preservice teachers and their mentors during their classroom field experiences.

Her main research interests focus on critical literacy, curriculum as inquiry, and on how children construct their understanding of language and mathematics. She is also the author of Planning for Inquiry: It's Not an Oxymoron! (NCTE, 2007) and several articles published in educational journals.

Diane was named in Who's Who Among America's Teachers in 2003 and 2006.
