Susan Ohanian

Susan's specialty is kids who hate school. She runs a website offering resistance to high-stakes testing and No Child Left Behind and she also runs an anti-DIBELS clearinghouse.

She received her M.A. in English from the University of California. She loves to teach because of the chance to convince kids who hate reading that there is a book for them.

Susan enjoys sailing on Lake Champlain and picking wild blackberries in the Vermont hills. She makes a mean berry pie.
